This page is longer than most, on purpose.
Where I’ve been shapes everything I do and everything I’m building, so I’d love you to know it, and to feel early on whether we’re a good fit.
There was a time when my only identity was Corporate Marketing Woman, which was cool because she was awesome! It was my whole life, until it wasn't.
Unravelling that identity took time, personal and professional risk, multiple ego-deaths and whole-being rebirths, and an eight-year journey that started with burnout in Melbourne, Australia and now sees me sitting in Stuttgart, Germany.
Staying close to myself through that long season of change, through success and struggle, has made the journey profoundly beautiful.
I am nothing but proud.

CHAPTER TWO
The In-between.
The chapter I’m emerging out of has been one of exploration, courage, change and love.
I took a year out of my corporate career in 2018 after burnout. I walked seven Caminos. I moved to Germany, and stepped in and out of corporate life while I worked out what I truly wanted.
It has been a journey of working out what matters to me, where meaning lives and what I want for my one precious life. What a privilege to ask those questions.
Somewhere in there, during a particularly hard season, I found my answers.
Meaning, for me, lives in three things, walking, writing and gathering. They overlap more like a Venn diagram than a priority list, and right in the middle sits the thing that holds it all together, staying close to myself.

CHAPTER THREE
The Continuum Process
It began in 2011, living alone in Melbourne, with a stack of index cards, a sharpie and a dining table.
I had ambition and momentum, and a lot of unanswered questions.
I couldn't find a framework that brought my whole life into view, so I built one, borrowing everything I knew from brand strategy. If positioning and structure could transform a brand, maybe they could transform a life.
They could.
I shared it with friends, then their friends, and after my first Camino de Santiago I came home with a new found permission to start building it, and offering it properly.
65+ clients later, and I’m in awe of this magical creation.

Brand and marketing
I loved my career. I was promoted regularly, and leading teams was a genuine highlight. Gathering people around a shared idea has always been where I come alive. But those environments are tough.
From 19 to 35, I quietly held myself together through anxiety, panic and depressive bouts, and eventually my nervous system grew tired of the political battles that corporate life asks of you.
Now I bring everything I loved about that work to brands and people I believe in.
The Camino de Santiago
I first walked the Camino de Santiago in 2018 to make space in my life.
What I found on that first trail was a set of dominoes I could feel falling, one after another. I fell in love with life, then with myself, and then with my now husband. Our paths crossed near Avilés in northern Spain, and life was never the same again.
He's the reason I'm in Germany.
I keep going back for the humanity, the culture, the beauty, and the time and space to simply be, with yourself and with others, outside the usual rhythm of life.
I have endless gratitude for the role these trails play in my life.
CHAPTER FOUR
The collective.
This has grown bigger than me and my journey.
The Alice Bassett Consulting Collective is where I bring together everything I’ve learnt - from twenty years of building brands, fifteen years of The Continuum Process and seven Camino de Santiago pilgrimages - and offer it to others.
It’s a place where professionals, founders, creators and artists can come to stay close to themselves, their work, their brands and their relationships, as a regular practice rather than a rescue. I do this one life at a time, with camaraderie over competition, and over time this collective will grow beyond me to include magical people doing important work in this space.
A world where people turn inward first and find the wisdom, courage and love that already live there, and where this is taught and practised as a matter of course, from love, long before life gets hard.
