Terms and Conditions
Section 1 — Scope
These General Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") apply to all contracts concluded between Alice Bassett, trading as "Alice Bassett Consulting Collective" (the "Provider"), Römerstrasse 30, 70180 Stuttgart, Germany, and her clients (the "Client") for the following services: The Continuum Process (a recurring annual, visual and facilitated self-discovery methodology, offered as an individual or group format); Camino Curious Guide and related digital offerings; marketing and brand consulting for founders; and workshops, group programmes and related events.
These Terms apply both to consumers within the meaning of § 13 BGB ("B2C") and to businesses within the meaning of § 14 BGB ("B2B"). Where provisions differ, this is stated expressly in the relevant clause. Whether a contract is B2C or B2B is determined by the Client's status at the point the contract is concluded — not by how the invoice is issued.
Any conflicting, deviating or supplementary terms and conditions put forward by the Client only become part of the contract if the Provider has expressly agreed to them in writing.
Section 2 — Formation of Contract
The contract is formed in one of the following ways:
(a) Booking via an online booking system (typically B2C, e.g. 1:1 sessions, The Continuum Process, workshops). The contract is formed once the Client completes a booking through the online booking system (Calendly or Eventbrite) and payment has been successfully processed. Before completing the booking, the Client is expressly directed to these Terms and to their right of withdrawal (Section 10) and confirms both by actively ticking a checkbox.
(b) Booking via a Stripe payment link (typically B2C, e.g. group and year-long programmes such as The Steady Build). The contract is formed once the Client successfully completes payment via the Stripe payment link provided on the website. Before completing payment, the Client confirms the applicability of these Terms, including the Special Terms (Section 13), and their right of withdrawal (Section 10) by actively ticking a checkbox. The Client then receives confirmation by email.
(c) Quote or invoice (typically B2B, e.g. marketing and brand consulting). The contract is formed once the Client confirms an individual quote in writing (email is sufficient). By confirming the quote, the Client accepts these Terms.
The language of the contract is English, unless expressly agreed otherwise.
Section 3 — Description of Services
The precise scope of services is set out in the relevant product or offer description on the website www.alicebassett.com, or in the individual quote. All formats are delivered live and interactively (in person, by video call, or in group sessions with direct facilitation by the Provider); none are pre-recorded or purely self-directed distance-learning courses within the meaning of the German Distance Learning Protection Act (FernUSG).
The Continuum Process and related formats are self-discovery and reflection offerings. They do not replace medical, psychotherapeutic or psychiatric treatment. The Provider makes no promise of a particular healing outcome and owes a diligent process, not a specific inner result or outcome.
Section 4 — Prices and Payment Terms
All stated prices are final prices. The Provider qualifies as a small business ("Kleinunternehmerin") within the meaning of § 19 UStG (German VAT Act); no VAT is therefore charged or shown.
B2C (Calendly/Stripe): payment is made in advance at the time of booking, via the payment methods provided on the website.
B2B (quote/invoice): unless otherwise agreed, invoices are due for payment in full within 14 days of the invoice date.
Section 5 — Rescheduling and Cancellation
Appointments (1:1 sessions, workshop places) may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled time. For later cancellations or no-shows, the Provider retains the right to the agreed fee, unless the service can be put to other use. The Client's statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer (Section 10) remains unaffected by this clause.
Section 6 — Client Cooperation
The Client will cooperate to the best of their ability in the delivery of the service, in particular by arriving punctually for scheduled appointments and providing truthful information about their situation where this is necessary for the service to be delivered. If the Client fails to cooperate as required, the Provider is entitled to adapt the service accordingly, without this giving rise to any claim for a refund.
Section 7 — Confidentiality
Both parties will treat all personal and business information exchanged in the course of the engagement as confidential and will use it solely for the purpose of performing the contract. This obligation continues beyond the end of the contractual relationship.
Section 8 — Copyright and Usage Rights
All materials, methods, worksheets, templates and content provided as part of the services (including the methodology of The Continuum Process) are protected by copyright and remain the property of the Provider. The Client is granted a simple, non-transferable right to use them for personal or internal business purposes. Reproduction, distribution or commercial use without the Provider's express written consent is not permitted.
Section 9 — Liability
The Provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, under the provisions of the German Product Liability Act, for injury to life, body or health, and to the extent of any guarantee given.
For slightly negligent breaches of material contractual obligations ("Kardinalpflichten") — obligations whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place, and on whose observance the Client may regularly rely — the Provider's liability is limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract.
Beyond this, liability for slightly negligent breaches of duty is excluded. For business clients (B2B), this limitation of liability also applies to claims arising in connection with the contract that are not based on a breach of duty.
Section 10 — Consumers' Right of Withdrawal
Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal in respect of contracts concluded off-premises and distance contracts. The following withdrawal notice applies.
Withdrawal Notice (as at: 19 June 2026)
Right of withdrawal: You have the right to withdraw from this contract within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day the contract was concluded.
To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us —
Alice Bassett

Phone: +49 176 40485307
Email: alice@alicebassett.com
— of your decision to withdraw from this contract by means of a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post or an email). You may use the attached model withdrawal form, although this is not mandatory.
To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning the exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.
Effects of withdrawal: If you withdraw from this contract, we shall reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay, and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received notice of your withdrawal from this contract. For this reimbursement, we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you; in no case will you be charged any fees as a result of this reimbursement.
If you requested that the service should begin during the withdrawal period, you shall pay us a reasonable amount corresponding to the proportion of the services already provided up to the point at which you notify us of the exercise of the right of withdrawal in relation to this contract, compared with the total scope of services provided for in the contract.

Early Performance / Advance Consent
If the Client wishes the service to begin before the withdrawal period has expired, this requires their express consent and their acknowledgement that they will lose their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. This consent is obtained during the booking process via a separate checkbox, which must be actively ticked and reads as follows:
"I expressly wish the booked service to begin before the 14-day withdrawal period has expired. I am aware that I will lose my right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed, or that, in the event of an earlier withdrawal, I will owe a proportionate amount for the service already provided."
Section 11 — Dispute Resolution
Until 20 July 2025, the European Commission provided a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR); this platform has since been taken offline. The Provider is not obliged, and is not willing, to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
Section 12 — Final Provisions
These Terms are governed by the law of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). For contracts with consumers, this applies only insofar as it does not conflict with mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the country in which the consumer has their habitual residence.
Where the Client is a merchant, a legal entity under public law, or a special fund under public law (B2B), the place of jurisdiction for all disputes arising from or in connection with this contract is Stuttgart.
Should individual provisions of these Terms be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected.
Section 13 — Special Terms for The Steady Build 2027
(1) Scope. The following Special Terms apply to the year-long programme “The Steady Build 2027” in addition to these Terms. Where they conflict, these Special Terms take precedence.
(2) Scope of services. The programme includes:
The Continuum Process: six hours of 1:1 online facilitation, to be completed by 28 February 2027;
for members of the founding cohort, a Personal Intelligence Summary as set out in paragraph 8;
four facilitated online group check-ins of 90 minutes each, at the end of March, June and September and in early December 2027;
workbooks and materials, including the Close Inspection Guide;
guest contributions, where available and suited to the group;
email support with replies within two working days;
access to a private online community space until 31 December 2027.
The programme is a facilitated self-reflection mentoring practice. It does not teach knowledge or skills in the manner of a course, and no learning assessments take place. The contract ends on 31 December 2027 without the need for notice and does not renew automatically.
(3) Payment. The fee is payable in full or in three monthly instalments. The first instalment is due on booking and the others on the same calendar day of the following two months. The payment plan ends after the third instalment. If an instalment fails, the Provider will remind the Client and may pause access to the services until payment is received. The obligation to pay remains unaffected.
(4) Sessions. Sessions of The Continuum Process are scheduled individually, and Section 5 applies accordingly. Group check-in times are set with the participants’ locations in mind. Every check-in is recorded. Not attending a check-in does not entitle the Client to a reduction of the fee.
(5) Cancellation after the withdrawal period.
Until the start of the first session of The Continuum Process, the Client may cancel the contract in text form (e.g. email). Payments already made will be refunded minus an administration fee of €200. The Client may show that the Provider incurred no costs or significantly lower costs.
From the start of the first session, the booking is binding. The agreed fee, including any outstanding instalments, remains due.
Both parties’ right to terminate for good cause, in particular where the trust required for working together has been seriously damaged, and the Client’s mandatory statutory rights remain unaffected. In that case, the fee for services provided up to that point remains due, and amounts paid in advance for services not provided will be refunded proportionately.
(6) Recordings and confidentiality. Check-in recordings are made available only to participants of the same cohort and are deleted by 31 January 2028 at the latest. Participants may switch off their camera at any time. Participants may not make their own recordings. Section 7 also applies to everything other participants share in the check-ins and the community.
(7) Community. The Client behaves respectfully in the check-ins and the community. In the event of serious breaches, the Provider may exclude the Client from further participation after a prior warning. The last point of paragraph 5 applies accordingly.
(8) Personal Intelligence Summary. The Personal Intelligence Summary is an AI-assisted analysis of the Client’s work/self-reflection. It is only created with the Client’s separate, explicit consent. It is voluntary. Without consent it is not created, with no effect on the fee. Data is processed as described in the Privacy Policy.
(9) Changes. Guest contributions depend on guests’ availability. For good reason, the Provider may move a session with reasonable notice and will offer a replacement date. If the programme cannot be delivered for reasons within the Provider’s responsibility, the fee for services not provided will be refunded proportionately.
